Hey classmates,
For starters, I’m a first year here at OSU, working towards a pharmacy major. Like some of you, I’ve already changed my major titles multiple times…going from biology to biochem, finally ending up in pharmacy. I’m also a dance minor, so maybe right out of college when I have approximately 10 bucks in my wallet, I can teach in a local studio.
When it comes to other interests, I’m obsessed with going to concerts. I’ve attended 16 concerts since the first day of college. Some of these artists include: A Day to Remember, Ben Folds, Rebelution, Parachute, 30 Seconds to Mars, Neon Trees, New Politics, Ari Hest, and The Icarus Account. Music is a huge part of my life. If you have ANY suggestions, leave them for me. (*Good chance to get your comments in J) I listen to every type of music, including classical…only because of piano and violin lessons. Mostly, I listen to alternative and singer/songwriter, but my favorite type of concert is hard rock. The atmosphere is so intense, but fun at the same time. The only downfall: getting kicked in the shins and punched from moshing…and getting scratched from the crowd surfers above.
“She takes every one of her father’s attributes, yet only one of mine- she loves nature”.  This was my favorite quote from what I wrote today, simply because I’ve heard it multiple times growing up. Mother always called me a daddy’s girl. Not the spoiled type... just the type that looks and acts like her father. If only I could cook like him. That man…is an amazing cook.

  2. That is a crazy amount of concerts! Which ones were your favorites? And have you ever been crowd surfing?

  3. haha well i have never been crowd surfing...because I don't like the thought of people groping me and falling on my head! Even though I end up with a few bruises anyway ha

  4. My favorites are either the really pumped up ones like at Warped Tour or X fest... and also the really chill ones like Ben Folds and Ari Hest. There hasn't been one I've been disappointed with though!

  5. Thank you for the music suggestions, I will have to check them out! I can imagine that your fear of crowd surfing is shared by most people ha. Every time I think about crowd surfing, I think of Jack Black at the beginning of School of Rock when he dives into the crowd and everyone just moves out of the way.

  7. I liked Bleed by Hot Chelle Rae, it was a very deep song, some of the things that are written in the music video are really sad, but I thought it was a really good song. I also really like Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam. Eddie's songs actually have meaning, and he makes music because it's what he likes to do, not just to make money (something I can't say for all people currently in the music industry). I still haven't listened to everything that you suggested, but I am looking forward to doing so since what I did listen to was really good :) thanks again
